ScalaTion
ScalaTion serves a testbed for exploring a modeling continuum that includes Analytics (Statistics and Machine Learning), Simulation, and Optimization. ScalaTion provides comprehensive support for Discrete-Event Simulation (DES) and an easy to use framework for Big Data Analytics. As optimization techniques are used in analytics and for simulation optimization, many optimization algorithms are also provided. The software is Free and Open Source under an MIT License. The ScalaTion/data GitHub repository contains links to datasets, knowledge graphs, models, code, and papers on time series forecasting. Results for COVID-19 pandemic prediction are also given in this repository.External Data Sets on Covid-19
CSSE COVID-19 Dataset
The CSSE COVID-19 dataset, maintained by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, serves as a foundational resource for understanding the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Here's an in-depth look at this dataset:
- Comprehensive COVID-19 data: This dataset contains a wide range of COVID-19 statistics, including daily time series data for confirmed cases, deaths, and recoveries. It's meticulously organized by location, providing data for countries, states, and even specific regions where available.
- Geographical granularity: With its granular geographical breakdown, researchers and analysts can access data at varying levels of detail. This granularity makes it possible to investigate the pandemic's progression from a global perspective down to individual regions.
- Lookup table: The included UID_ISO_FIPS lookup table is an invaluable tool for cross-referencing and linking data with specific geographical locations. This ensures data consistency and accuracy in analyses.
- Open Source and widely used: The dataset is open source, freely accessible, and widely used for COVID-19 research. Its reliability and credibility make it a preferred choice for professionals and organizations worldwide.
